Drift

Drift chaos modulator

Buy now / Demo version / User manual / Update

Drift is an Audio Unit effect plugin for chaotic sound modulation. It is based on a two-dimensional Lorenz attractor generator commonly used in airflow modelling but applied here onto sound level and low-pass filter cutoff frequency. Drift easily makes any static sound come to life - giving it an organic, smooth motion. And its high-contrast, colour-coded interface is a joy to use, too.

What can it do?

  • Create chaotic tremolo and panning effects.
  • Apply delicate filter swooshes or random wobble.
  • Add never-repeating, lively motion onto static ambient and noise sounds.

Compatibility

Drift works with Logic, GarageBand, Live, MainStage, Maschine, Studio One, ReNoise, Reaper, Bidule and other software that supports Audio Unit effect plugins. It comes in 32/64 bit format for Intel Macs running OS X 10.6 or later, and supports Retina screen resolution.
