Whirl is a barber-pole phaser plugin for KORG prologue, minilogue xd, NTS-1, NTS-1 mkII, NTS-3 and microKORG2. It is based on a Bode frequency shifter algorithm combined with a feedback loop, which produces deep spectrum sweeps that create a unique audible illusion of endless sound morphing. These sweeps are going “upwards” with negative phaser frequencies, or “downwards” with positive frequencies, and it’s possible to seamlessly transition between these states. The variable feedback amount makes it possible to go from subtle spectrum swooshes to highly resonant peaks and notches.
